Roles & Responsibilities for Microsoft Software Engineer USA
a. Contribute to our software engineering projects to deliver well-defined products that generate immediate customer value and deliver high-quality, broadly applicable software contributions.
b. Collaborate with customers’ developers to deliver solutions using a wide range of technologies.
c. Continuously build your technical knowledge and mentor junior team members to drive excellence in engineering as a cohesive, efficient, and productive unit
d. In CSE, the Senior software engineering role is 80% hands-on and rest will be focusing on architecture & design, upskilling, mentoring the team
Qualification Requirements for Microsoft Senior Software Engineer USA
a. We are seeking people who have experiences which reflect the qualifications below:
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience shipping or running production systems and/or software, including complex production systems that run on a public cloud
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience using any of the following languages: C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C++, Rust, and(or) Go
Preferred Qualifications for Microsoft Software Developer Jobs United States
- Experience building and deploying Kubernetes based solutions
- Experience building, shipping, and operating cloud-based solutions
- Experience building and using CI/CD automation including GitOps
- Experience building observability into solutions with technologies such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, and Open Telemetry
- Strong industry knowledge and experience
- Experience working within and directing geographically dispersed, diverse, and virtual teams
- Solid design and coding skills with a bias for architecture at scale
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across company boundaries and outside of company boundaries
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or the equivalent
- Enjoy travel and are comfortable with regional travel up to 25%
