Job Description for Virtusa Entry Level off Campus Recruitment
Software Tester Manual with Postman skills
The Software Tester is responsible for manual testing in various software projects. Working within a discipline, plans and conducts independent work requiring judgment in the requirement analysis, selection of test scenarios, creation of a set of test cases, running the tests, and creation of reports. Provides regular and periodic testing and other metrics to the management. Devises new approaches to problems encountered to provide solutions to the customer. Works in close conjunction with the development teams to ensure good test coverage and high quality deliverables. Supports discipline in the performance of complex and demanding assignments requiring initiative and independent judgment. Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of principles of Software Development, Operating Systems, Windows Servers, middleware, etc.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- The candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented Innovative and assertive in proposing implementing new ideas processes
- Highly motivated and self-starting, should have proactive approach to resolving issues and working with limited supervision
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and implement it effectively
