Job Description of British Telecom Careers Job:-

  • The role holder is responsible for preparing, scheduling and delivering process training events, refresher sessions and measuring and reporting on the impact.
  • They will work in close collaboration with Training and Operational teams.
  • To attend TTT in order to build a robust level of knowledge and understanding of the processes, products and procedures to be rolled out to the operational teams.
  • To plan and schedule training and upskilling interventions based on business requirements
  • To function as the ambassador for his/her knowledge area by maintaining a high standard of process knowledge and to ensure this remains current at all times.
  • Define the knowledge, skills and abilities required for practitioners to perform given responsibilities successfully
  • To explain/document the processes required for practitioners to perform given responsibilities
  • To consult on issues that occur during reviews and to guide on the development process
  • To suggest exercises and/or case studies to reinforce learning
  • To spend =>40 hours per month on calls/chats/other, in order to maintain excellent working knowledge of processes and products. (=>80hrs when not actively aligned with a batch)
  • To understand, articulate and implement best practices related to the area of expertise
  • To lead or be an active participant of a work group where his domain expertise is required
  • To work collaboratively with the trainers in the overall provision of training to the operational teams.
  • To meet goals and targets for the delivery and impact of training, both what and how
  • To supply source materials, reference items, and supplemental resources
  • To make the content richer by offering first-hand practical knowledge (anecdotal stories, case studies, best practices, tips and/or “tricks-of-the-trade”) that can be shared with others to embed and improve the knowledge exchange and transfer
  • To be ready and willing to increase skills and knowledge through exposure to new or other processes or procedures, for any LoB or operational team and support BQ Management
  • To be enthusiastic, positive and energetic at all times and act as an ambassador for training and learning in CBS, ensuring that training activity is a positive, effective and beneficial experience for individual and the organisation.
  • To respond positively to feedback and coaching in order to develop and enhance own skills and abilities
  • To be eager to learn and develop new skills in order to provide the highest standard of training to others
  • To be flexible and accommodating in approach, in support of business requirements.
  • Contributes to the planning and scheduling of training interventions.
  • Participates in the roll out and delivery of products/services within a specific unit, geographical area or training discipline to support Unit business strategies.
  • Monitors and provides feedback on impact of training activities
  • Meet all agreed-upon turnaround times for deliverables, deliverable reviews, or deliverable sign-off
  • Qualifications: 
    • Educated to degree level

Skills/Experience:

  • Good experience of delivering, organising and assessing process and product training activity in a process or back office environment, ideally within the telecoms sector. Can be voice, chat, back-office, blended or technical in nature
  • Highly energetic and engaging, motivates others and captures attention in a training situation
  • Very organised, plans ahead, follows instructions and is reliable. Can work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to communicate new information clearly to others in an engaging and effective way
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate confidently to large groups of people in a training environment.
  • Good influence and conflict management skills, has a very positive approach.
  • CAT Score – 6 and above
