Job Description of S&P Global Off Campus Drive 2020:
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in multiple software development processes including Coding, Testing, and De-bugging & Documentation.
- Work on new initiatives and support existing CUSIP applications.
- Perform Application & System Performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Build applications with object oriented concepts and apply design patterns.
- Setup development environment / sandbox for application development.
- Check-in application code changes into the source repository.
- Perform unit testing of application code and fix errors.
- Interface with databases to extract information and build reports.
- Effectively interacting and coordinating with different teams like QA, BA and all business stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
- 3-5 years of IT experience in application development and support.
- Strong Experience with Java, J2EE, Java Multi threading & Design Patterns
- Experience in Oracle Database environment – SQL, PL/SQL programming.
- Must have experience with Spring framework , spring boot , REST services and micro services architecture
- Experience in AWS cloud services is a plus.
- Experience in deploying Java/J2EE applications on WebLogic servers, Tomcat server.
- Experience with Hibernate or other OR-mapping technologies.
- Have hands on Experience in UI related frameworks like EXT JS, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience using system tools, source control systems, utilities and third-party products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
- Basic Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating System
- Have good knowledge of agile best practices and methodologies
- Experience with test-driven / behavior-driven development using automated testing tools is a plus
- Execute and follow the full software development lifecycle process using modern agile methodology supported by tools such as Jira, VSTS, Confluence and GIT.
- A keen problem-solver with strong technical and analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently with less or no supervision
Preferred Qualifications for Job:
- Experience in the financial services sector preferred but not required
