You will be responsible for:
- Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical requirements
- Providing hands-on expertise of Android Application Development and Performance Optimisation.
- Designing applications around natural user interfaces, such as ‘touch’
- Sharing knowledge of internal and “best practice” principles of software engineering SDLC
- Interacting with 3rd Party Vendors, R&D teams, testers, and stakeholders across the globe
The Profile
- You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- You have at least 4 years of software engineering experience with 1 year experience with React Native.
- You have strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, dealing with different screen sizes, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services, cloud message APIs and push notifications and continuous integration is required.
- You have experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- You have knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- You have a knack for benchmarking and optimisation
- You have a understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- You have a good understanding of Web and its technologies.
- You have experience in MVP Clean Architecture and important libraries such as Dagger, Realm
- You are experienced in the following programming & scripting Languages: Kotlin, Core Java, Java, Shell Scripting, Operating Systems Linux, Windows and Android Development Tools
- You have experience in the following databases: Android Studio, SQLite, SCM as well as Issue Tracking tools: Perforce, GIT, JIRA.
- You are result driven and can work in fast-paced environments
- You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
- You are a strong team player who can handle multiple stakeholders.
