Job Description for HSBC Off Campus Recruitment Drive 2023:
- Drive industry leading solutions leveraging DevOps and Agile on Heritage and Niche Technologies to support group strategy
- Open Source development – Monitor servers and determine the use of PUBLIC resources by open source programs. Demonstrate the understanding of the functionality of the open source project. Knowledge of MySQL is must and any other databases will be useful.
- Support in providing technical leadership, evaluation and recommendations for data consumption engines and new technologies that can be used to advance new features and capabilities around analytics and use derived data sets
- Leverage sound judgment and problem solving to tackle most critical problems and connect the dots to broader data solution
- Support in creating data warehouses and big data systems which maintain enterprise data and allow queries to be run against it
- Support in performing matching and linking across datasets
- Support ensuring secure movement of data from sources to targets
- Support in using data & ETL tools to perform data integration across different databases / systems / platform
Requirements:
- Understanding of a value unit / product / region / legal entity, alongside a good understanding of the industry and the challenges and changes in the sector.
- Covers a wide range of activities that require complex judgements based on advanced analytical thought. Problems often require an innovative approach, based on extensive research
- Develops new and adapts existing processes for increased quality and efficiency whilst encouraging others to seek new ideas/solutions to day to day problems
- Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework. Broad guidelines are available. Role implements strategy set by others.
- Implements business plans through own team and is accountable for results
- The role requires the ability to guide, persuade and influence others through the developed skills of communication and diplomacy.
