Job Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support necessary to monitor, review and critique the Hardware (HW) specifications, designs, and implementations being developed for Multi-functional Information Distribution System. (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) block upgrades, block cycles and/or engineering releases.
- Maintain expert understanding of user interface design patterns, object-oriented design, refactoring, design patterns, test automation, continuous integration/deployment, concurrency, modeling, versioning, memory management, security, services, networking, inter-process/thread communication, message queues and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
- Evaluate interfaces between HW and Software (SW), to include operational as well as performance requirements of overall systems.
- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal / external checks & controls, as well as outputs.
- Apply hardware engineering principles and expertise to review and provide technical comments on the hardware specifications and interface documents that establish the Functional Baseline (FBL), Allocated Baseline (ABL) and Product Baseline (PBL). This includes review of ECPs/NORs, SDD/IDD and API documents.

Required:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this role, with ability to obtain Top Secret level security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) if needed
- Master of Science degree from an accredited college or university in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience performing hardware engineering management, reduction,
- and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and
- interpretation of research results
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience with hardware engineering that includes hardware planning,
- requirements analysis, design, development, integration, and testing
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience with design and development of complex electronic systems
- with an emphasis in military based tactical communication systems
