Work description:
The selected person will work at the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India.
- Design, develop and maintain complex databases. Creates procedures for the design, implementation and backup testing of databases, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures.
- Create plans for the implementation of database security infrastructure.
- Consult with architects and technical specialists to identify appropriate hardware and software implementations.
- Demonstrates industry best practices and skills with Oracle databases, RAC, backup and recovery, UNIX and Linux operating systems, and performance tuning.
- Plan, install and test software updates and patches. Provides information on organizational standards for database monitoring thresholds. Monitor performance trends to identify and correct problems.
- Applies extensive work practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories and concepts. He has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as an expert in the work within the department / organization.
- Participate as an active member of the team and participate in calls, planned maintenance, production interruptions and projects.
- Create procedures for the design, implementation and testing of backup and recovery systems by working with the client to meet the requirements and align with corporate disaster recovery guidelines. Create documentation for backup and recovery. Defines the database validation requirements to ensure the integrity of the database.
- Provides specifications to customers to connect to various databases. Consult with clients and / or modelers and database architects to plan and develop more complex database designs. Directs the design of the database. Participate in the change process to review the requested changes.
- Develops a plan and directs the implementation of the database security infrastructure that matches the requirements of the policy, in conjunction with the customer and / or Boeing security standards. Implements and validates the security infrastructure to comply with corporate and government guidelines. Makes recommendations for best security practices.
- Develop procedures and database maintenance tools, using best practices. Maintains complex databases performing appropriate database management functions (for example, maintaining space availability, rebuilding indexes, cleaning files, running utilities to verify database integrity) to ensure optimal capacity and performance of the application. Communicate the status of the database to the user community.
- Document the information related to the administration of the database in a common location accessible to the rest of the team members.
- Guide the successful completion of projects related to databases.
- Show a spirit of wanting to learn more and do more while giving an example to the team.
- Represents the database team with integrity and leadership.
- This position develops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and team members to execute projects.
- This position provides regular updates to the Boeing administration in the form of progress reports, project summaries and other related documents. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations worldwide.
- This position will support the initiatives of the Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer participation, etc.
Desired Candidates Profile:
- You must have extensive practical knowledge with Oracle EBS Applications R12 and 11i in a production environment.
- You must have proven experience in the installation, configuration and administration of third-party products integrated with EBS
- Ability to perform advanced installations, configurations, updates and clones / patches of Oracle ERP, Oracle RDBMS and Weblogic and SOA applications (configuration and configuration of load balancing, fault tolerance)
- Must have Oracle EBS 11i / 12 DBA Apps experience
- You must have experience in managing databases in an Oracle production environment
- You must have experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager; prefer Oracle 12c Cloud Control.
- You must have experience in database administration with Oracle 10g / 11g on Linux / Unix
- You must have experience in UNIX and Linux operating systems.
- Virtualization experience of desired database.
- Any relevant industrial certification is a plus
- Shows excellent oral and written communication skills for team members and management
- Show a spirit of wanting to learn more and do more while giving an example to the team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science, Technology, Mathematics, Information Technology with more than 12 years of work experience.
- Experience with experience in UNIX and Linux operating systems
- Work experience with the Oracle production environment.
