Job Description for Aequor Technologies Hiring
1. To detect and troubleshoot Database Server related CPU, Memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
2. Design and build High Available & High-Performance Database Environments.
3. Design and implement robust database administration solutions including resource management, security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, data management and capacity planning, multi-threading and parallelism, planning and implementing failover between database instances.
4. Understand organization’s goals and objectives
5. Provide necessary architectural oversight for any implementation, recommendation or changes in supported environments initiated through periodic reviews, audits conducted by internal delivery assurance groups or by client-initiated audits or requests.
6. Assist in automation activities where-ever possible from design through development and deployment
7. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members
8. Be part of new implementation projects and will be responsible to prepare the pre-implementation plan for such projects as may be required from time to time for implementation by the Implementation Teams
9. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
10. Should be able to work under a high-pressure environment with flexible work timings and On-Call availability.
Mandatory Skills of Aequor Technologies Off Campus Drive:
1. Candidate needs to work rotationally in US EST (6:00pm-3:00am IST), UK shift (12:30pm-9:30pm IST). Besides candidate should be available to provide on call support outside office hours including weekends.
2. Candidate must have following experience:
a. Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), SCOM, SolarWinds, Vertica management console and Cloudera manager + any tools that come with mongo, Cassandra, etc.
b. Scripting experience in PowerShell/Bash Scripting or Perl or Python.
c. Should have Installation, Administration & Troubleshooting experience.
d. Should be able to perform database implementations, upgrades and migrations.
e. Design, manage, and monitor index usage, statistics, and other core database performance items. Strong experience with performance optimization, maintenance and tuning with database is a MUST
f. Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication
g. Advanced DB Implementation skills such as DB clustering, DB Failover
h. Hands-on experience with Database hosted either on premise & in the AWS cloud both.
3. Technical documentation skills
4. Should have at-least 3+ years of support experience with global client (US & UK) environments with specific focus on support database.
5. Should have excellent presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams including software development groups\
