Job Description of Qualcomm Off Campus Recruitment Drive 2020:
Job Requirements:
The candidate should have 8 -10 years of relevant industry experience. Candidate in this role will be require technical skills like:
- Sound knowledge and hands on experience on Linux / Unix administration, troubleshooting & mass deployment.
- Experience administering large-scale FlexLM-based license services in large semiconductor design or similar environments and deep knowledge of FlexLM licensing best practices and expertise of configuration options, capabilities, limitations, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Hands on working knowledge on EoD / ETX / NX / VNC or any such login service is preferred. Exposure on Virtualization.
- Scripting knowledge with shell, PERL, Python. Real life automation experience.
- Exposure of Capacity Management for IT services. Sound idea about IT infrastructure and various related or dependent IT services.Candidate should also be able to support the operational tasks like:
- Global support exposure and experience of on-call support.
- Sound troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills. Understanding of IT Processes (ITIL), Change Management, Standardization and Escalations.
- LSF License Scheduler, and Flexera FlexNet Manager experience a plus.
- Exposure of Semiconductor industry will be an added advantage
Qualifications for Job:
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 6+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelor’s degree.
- Practical knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems [SUSE, RHEL, Debian & Ubuntu] Knowledge of PERL / Python Understanding of load balancing technology, server farms, and web services Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, and SSL Red Hat Linux, CentOS Linux, SUSE Linux, and Ubuntu Linux Ability to understand concepts related to identifying and assessing risks as applicable to risk controls frameworks Knowledge of Application Security concepts
Preferred Qualifications for Job:
- Experience of Global User support and ready to support in different time zone
- Demonstrated verbal and written skills and have experience interacting with senior technical staff, IT operational support teams
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Knowledge of and experience in supporting enterprise applications in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Familiarity with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and the semiconductor design process.
