Job Overview:

  • The role of the project manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • The Project Manager will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. We are looking for a project manager with broad experience in the following areas:
  • Equipment deployments involving Information and communication technology (ICT), server, storage, database,audio/visual etc.
  • Facility building and/or improvement projects involving IT infrastructure deployments, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure.
  • Administrative projects such as budgeting, operational process improvements & strategic planning.
  • Supporting infrastructure integration activities for mergers and acquisitions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:
    Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties during project life cycle.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
    Acquisition & Deployment:
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.

Project Management:

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Person should be a forward thinker and should have an ability to articulate and visually display ideas/information in to reports so as to effectively garner the desired response from the audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline orientated environment.

Minimum Qualifications For Job:-

 Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of IT-relevant work experience OR 8+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.

* 2+ years experience leading projects/programs.

Preferred Qualifications for Qualcomm Hiring IT Project Manger Job Bangalore:-

  • 12 plus years of progressive project management experience including all aspects of infrastructure deployments. Additional experience in executing IT Infrastructure projects in large scale enterprises is a plus in job
  • Master in Business Administration and/or B.E/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology.
    PMP/Prince 2 certification is must.
  • Certification in project management job software such as MS Project and certification in office productivity tools like MS Office is must.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and strong presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels from senior management to technical team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in project communications and change management.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously during job tenure.
  • Extensive experience working with global, hybrid teams and project resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in team formation and management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Budget Forecasting, Capacity Planning, on Demand job Management and risk management.
  • Proven record of effective customer expectation management including an ability to manage customer requirements, gain consensus on challenging issues, and communicate decisions effectively.
