Job Summary
he Vision Products Group is looking for a QA Engineer to enhance our capabilities to track and improve the quality for new and exciting technologies. We’re seeking an excellent communicator and problem solver who can help evaluate and uphold our software testing processes to ensure the highest quality and best practices towards delivering the algorithms that will shape the future of spacial computing. You would be instrumental in helping us maintain Apple’s high quality and attention to detail for future products by ensuring the code we write is well tested and integrated.
Job Description
As a QA Engineer in this role, you will work closely with algorithm design and development team to understand architectural diagrams, and utilize the information to develop QA strategies. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining manual and automated test plan used in the testing of computer vision/machine learning algorithms and applications. This also includes monitoring algorithm quality & testing result analysis, tracking bug reports and driving them to resolution.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Passion for quality, exceptional attention to detail
- Proven hands on experience with manual testing
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to describe and document clearly
- Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and groups
- Experience with developing, running, and triaging automated test suites
- Experience in implementing initiatives across teams
- Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results
- Experience in maintaining/enhancing test framework in scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- Experience with computer vision/machine learning algorithms preferred
Educational Qualifications
BS (or equivalent)
