Job Responsibilities
As a Project Delivery Specialist in the Technology group you will:
- Act as a SQL Server Application DBA
- Support Development team for Database changes like Data Model, Deployment for DDL, DML scripts
- SQL query, code review for best practice, standards
- Database refresh, clone for lower environment
- Performance tune database systems
- Develop processes for optimizing database security
- Set and maintain database standards at all level including objects creation, access control, configurations, jobs
- Manage database access
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
- Create automation for repeating database tasks
- Be available for on-call support as needed
Qualification Requirements For Deloitte Software Jobs
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Over 4+ years of IT experience in supporting SQL Server database custom application development, deployment and implementation support of RDBMS. This is a core database administration support role on On-premises and Cloud environment
- 5+ years of experience in Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and OLTP/DW environments
- 3+ years of experience in Database health monitoring and tweaking as required for resources like Storage, memory and other configurations
- 3+ years of experience in SQL Server 2016 and above version databases
- 1+ years of experience in Azure Cloud SQL Database services
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications preferred
- Experience with other relational databases like Oracle is a plus
- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
- Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
