The Sye Orchestration team is chartered with designing large scale systems to power the low latency streaming solution at Prime Video viewed by a massive audience daily – you will help bring our customer’s streaming video experience to a new level.
You will be responsible for building new services to expand the reach and operations of the Sye platform into new regions and at greater scale than ever before.
You will develop the services to run on Amazon’s cloud computing infrastructure (AWS) and have opportunities to interact with teams inside and outside the Prime Video organization, plus to work on a variety of video devices such as the Kindle Fire, Fire TV, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs, set-top-boxes, and mobile devices.
You will need to have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, a high level of creativity and great analytical reasoning skills. An interest and background in video streaming, media and or networking fundamentals is a plus.
Basic Qualifications For Amazon Careers Software Development Engineer USA
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of product development experience in consumer-focused companies
- Experience with critical, 24×7 systems
- Experience with high throughput, multi-threaded systems
- Experience developing web services, or other large scale distributed systems, that have successfully delivered customer traffic
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
- Working knowledge of video streaming protocol
- Working network knowledge, including TCP/IP and UDP
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Amazon Salary (Pay Range) for Software Development Engineer USA Remote Jobs:-
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $143,700- $194,400/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location
