Job Description for American Express Off Campus Recruitment Drive 2022
Merchant Marketing Analytics team sits within GMS Analytics in GMNS. The purpose of the role is to provide data driven insights that inform Merchant marketing strategy through targeting and measurement for global market(s). Candidate is required to quickly understand new data presented in front of them and make decisions based on logic, business understanding and data techniques [Data Science/Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence – Expertise in Coding, Algorithm (Unsupervised and supervised); Analytics & Insights – Python, SAS, SQL, Hive, Pyspark is preferred]
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop data driven analytical solutions to drive consultative & strategic projects for merchants across the globe operating in Travel, Retail & EDS industries
- Proactively drive in-house strategic initiatives to further merchant engagement and American Express brand value
- Push the thinking in resolving unstructured business problems using newer & better approaches
- Work with partners located across the globe spread across multiple business units
- Work on various in-house reporting tools to develop standard & custom reports
- Leverage the power of closed loop through Amex network to make intelligent and relevant insights
- Quick learner to understand the business and support in unstructured projects
- Stay current in their field and up to date with latest business trends, data science, business statistics and algorithms
